The final week of the NFL regular season is here. Week 17 is a tricky one, as some teams are resting their starters and others are attempting to play spoiler.
But with help from myself and our fantasy insiders on the Sneaky Plays podcast, your DraftKings lineups will be looking sharp!
Lamar Jackson – QB, BAL
Opponent – Cleveland Browns
Price – $5,600
Lamar Jackson is my QB this week. The rookie has led the Ravens to a 5-1 record since becoming the starter back in Week 11.
Jackson doesn’t exactly light teams up through the air, eclipsing the 200-yard mark only once during his tenure has the starter. However, the rookie can get it done on the ground and poses as a dual-threat QB.
The Browns aren’t exactly scary on the defensive side of the ball and Jackson should be able to pick them apart on Sunday.
Peyton Barber – RB, TB
Opponent – Atlanta Falcons
Price – $3,600
Barber might not be the flashiest play at RB this week, but his price is worth a look.
The young RB is going up against an Atlanta Falcons defense that ranks 32nd against enemy RB’s. Back in Week 6, Barber put up 20.6 fantasy points against them.
Look for Barber to rack up double-digit carries for the 12th straight week and easily surpass his value.
Gus Edwards – RB, BAL
Opponent – Cleveland Browns
Price – $4,400
It’s hard to avoid putting Gus Edwards in my lineup this week. The rookie RB has been averaging 18.3 carries per game since Week 11.
Edwards and the Ravens host the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, a defense ranking 29th in total yards allowed per game.
Fellow RB Kenneth Dixon will get some touches, but Edwards will get the bulk of the carries this week in a win-and-in game for the Baltimore club.
Davante Adams– WR, GB
Opponent – New York Jets
Price – $8,000
Oh look, Davante Adams is in my lineup again. It’s hard not to play a guy that scores 23 fantasy points per game and has seen double-digit targets in 5 out of the last 6 games.
Adams is going up against a Detroit secondary that he torched back in Week 5 for 140 yards and a score. Don’t be shocked when the veteran WR puts up big numbers once again.
JuJu Smith-Schuster – WR, PIT
Opponent – Cincinnati Bengals
Price – $8,300
JuJu is having an incredible season, averaging 20.5 fantasy points per game.
JuJu and the Steelers host the Cincinnati Bengals in a must-win game. The young WR should have a field day this week going up against a Bengals defense that is generous to enemy WR’s, ranking 27th against the position.
Look for Smith-Schuster to see double-digit targets for the 4th week in a row and capitalize on his opportunities.
Robert Woods – WR, LAR
Opponent – San Francisco 49ers
Price – $6,900
Woods has been Mr. Reliable all season long, logging double-digit fantasy points in every game since Week 2.
This week, Woods is going up against a 49ers defense that ranks 25th against WR’s. With Todd Gurley sidelined, the veteran WR should see plenty of targets and be the focal point of the offense in a game that the Rams need to win in order to secure the #2 seed in the NFC for the playoffs.
Travis Kelce – TE, KC
Opponent – Oakland Raiders
Price – $7,200
I am playing it safe this week and going with Travis Kelce. The athletic tight end thrashed the Raiders in Week 13 for an eye-popping 42.8 fantasy points.
While that may be a difficult number to match, I wouldn’t be surprised if Kelce goes off against them for a second time.
Marques Valdez-Scantling– FLEX, WR, GB
Opponent – Detroit Lions
Price – $3,900
MVS has done a formidable job in his rookie season with the Green Bay Packers. Last week, the WR saw 9 targets and posted 12.5 fantasy points.
This week MVS goes up against the Lions. In Week 5 against the Lions, he posted 19.8 fantasy points, his highest total of the season.
At his minuscule price, he’s worth a shot with his big-play potential.
New York Giants – D/ST
Opponent – Dallas Cowboys
Price – $2,100
This week I’m going with the New York Giants defense. They are hosting a Cowboys team that’s resting their starters to gear up for the playoffs.
It’s safe to bet that the Giants won’t be letting up too many points this week.
