The NFL season is flying by and we are now in Week 7. This week, the Bucs, Steelers, Panthers, and Browns are on a bye – teams filled with fantasy options. My goal is to get you past that.
Avoid the stress of doing countless hours of research and create a winning lineup on DraftKings with help from myself and our fantasy insiders on the Sneaky Plays Podcast!
Here are some under-the-radar players that can help you win in Week 7.
Jared Goff – QB, LAR
Opponent – Atlanta Falcons
Price – $6,200
.@AtlantaFalcons v @AZCardinals how do you not account for the running back? How can any defense be this confused? I promise not to show anymore assignment errors but this season can turn around when these breakdowns stop. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/QUilVIdhnO— Brian Baldinger (@BaldyNFL) October 16, 2019
This might be tough to do, but try to ignore last week’s performance by Goff. The real story here is the Atlanta Falcons defense or lack thereof.
The Falcons have allowed a top QB finisher in 5 of their 6 games this season. That list includes Marcus Mariota – the guy who just got benched for Ryan Tannehill. So, Jared Goff ultimately becomes a must-play.
Don’t be surprised if Goff finishes as the QB1 this week – the odds are in his favor.
Tevin Coleman – RB, SF
Opponent – Washington Redskins
Price – $5,600
Coleman came back from an ankle injury two weeks ago and has made an immediate impact since. In his past two games, he’s found the endzone twice and has been a pivotal part of the 49ers’ strong running game.
This week, Coleman and the Niners head to the nation’s capital to duke it out with the Washington Redskins. Washington’s porous defense has been awfully generous against opposing RBs, ranking 28th.
At such a light price, Coleman is in a good spot to surpass his value.
Mark Andrews – TE, BAL
Opponent – Seattle Seahawks
Price – $4,900
The TE position is always tough to gauge in fantasy football. But Mark Andrews has been a rare bright spot at the position.
He’s averaging 16.3 fantasy points per game and has seen at least 7 targets in each contest.
Andrews and the Ravens travel to Seattle this weekend to take on the Seahawks. But Seattle no longer boasts the defense of yesteryear, as they’ve struggled to defend the pass and have been awful against TEs, ranking 29th in the category.
Look for Andrews to get a bunch of targets and capitalize on his opportunities.
T.Y. Hilton – WR, IND
Opponent – Houston Texans
Price – $5,900
T.Y. is coming off a bye week after dealing with a quad injury and it looks like he’ll be at full strength this week against the Houston Texans. When T.Y. was healthy during the first three weeks of the season, he averaged over 8 targets per game and found the endzone 4 times.
On Sunday, Hilton and the Colts host the Texans. Overall, the Texans are a solid team, but their secondary has been shaky. They rank 28th against opposing WRs and 24th in passing yards allowed per game.
Look for T.Y. to be dancing in the endzone on Sunday in front of the home crowd.
