Week 15 of the NFL season is here and it started off with a 63-point shootout between the Ravens and the Jets on TNF. Lamar Jackson, of course, led the way with 37 fantasy points of his own.
With the Steelers hosting the Bills on SNF and the Saints hosting the Colts on MNF, high-quality fantasy options will not be available for the Classic Sunday slate on DraftKings. However, there are still some great matchups on Sunday that you should be able to exploit while crafting your lineup.
Avoid the stress of doing countless hours of research and create a winning lineup on DraftKings with help from myself and our fantasy insiders on the Sneaky Plays Podcast!
Here are some under-the-radar players that can help you win in Week 15.
Jimmy Garoppolo – QB, SF
Opponent – Atlanta Falcons
Price – $6,100
Jimmy G put on a show in New Orleans last Sunday, leading his team to a 48-46 victory over the Saints. With a slow and concerning start to the season, Jimmy G has stepped up as of late and is showcasing why he got his big contract in San Francisco.
After being battle-tested on the road in the last two weeks, the 49ers return home to host a below-average Falcons team. The Falcons rank 23rd against opposing QBs and 24th in passing yards allowed per game. With great weapons around him in George Kittle, Emmanuel Sanders and Deebo Samuel, Jimmy G should have a field day.
Boston Scott – RB, PHI
Opponent – Washington Redskins
Price – $3,000
The consensus among the fantasy football community is that you’ll likely need to pay up at RB this week due to some harsh matchups on Sunday.
I tend to agree. Guys like Chris Carson ($7,500) or Dalvin Cook ($8,900) need to be in lineups. However, in order to pay up at a position, you need to find a player that doesn’t break the bank but also produces some fantasy numbers.
That is why Boston Scott is THE value play this week. Scott exploded onto the scene this past Monday and propelled the Eagles to a much-needed victory over the Giants. He carried the ball 10 times for 59 yards and a score in addition to securing 6 receptions for 69 yards.
Scott and the Eagles have a juicy matchup on Sunday against the Redskins, who rank 22nd against opposing RBs and 27th in rushing yards allowed per game. With Jordan Howard battling an injury and Miles Sanders’ inability to be an every-down back, Boston Scott will have a substantial role cut out for him in what should be a positive game script on Sunday.
Darius Slayton – WR, NYG
Opponent – Miami Dolphins
Price – $4,700
Darius Slayton has been a staple of consistency for the New York Giants this season. The rookie WR is averaging 14.2 fantasy points per game and has found the endzone 7 times. He’s emerging as the top receiving option for the Giants and is coming off a strong performance on MNF against the Eagles.
This week, Slayton will line up across from the cornerbacks of the Miami Dolphins – one of Slayton’s easier tasks for the year. The Dolphins rank 28th against opposing WRs and 32nd in points allowed per game. Slayton has quickly developed a rapport with Eli Manning, who will be the one throwing the ball to him on Sunday.
Jimmy Graham – TE, GB
Opponent – Chicago Bears
Price – $3,600
Graham hasn’t exactly been dominant this season, but one of his better games came in Week 1 against the Bears. The veteran TE found the endzone and made big catches.
This week is a rematch against the Bears and the Packers need to win in order to stay on top of the NFC North. The Bears’ defense is stingy, but they are prone to allowing tight ends to have success against them. Their defense ranks 28th against the position and have allowed the 3rd most receptions to TEs.
At home and in a big spot, look for Rodgers to target Jimmy Graham on 3rd down and in the red zone.
