The day college basketball fans have been waiting for all season is finally here. The #1 seed Villanova Wildcats will take the court against the #3 seed Michigan Wolverines at the Alamodome.

Both teams are coming off very impressive wins in the Final Four, and are hoping to carry that momentum into tonight. The Wolverines won a hard-fought game against Loyola-Chicago, ending the Ramblers’ Cinderella run, while Villanova laid a modern day butt-whooping on Kansas.

Michigan was led by big man Moritz Wagner, who had a monster game with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Wagner also created the next great meme. When he ran over the CBS telecast table, Grant Hill feared for his safety.

Charles Matthews also added 17 points in the win over the Ramblers.

Meanwhile, Villanova couldn’t miss from beyond the arc. Seven different Wildcats knocked down 3’s totaling 18 on the night, a Final Four record.

Eric Paschall led the Wildcats with 24 points, and was 1 of 6 Villanova players to score in the double digits. The only time this game was close was when the ball was tipped-off, and Villanova didn’t look back the rest of the game.

Monday’s game should be nothing short of exciting. Michigan will need to keep feeding Moritz Wagner and force Villanova to take bad shots from behind the arc.

If the Wolverines fall behind they must keep the score close because, in the blink of an eye, Villanova could be up double digits. For Villanova, they have to do what they have done all tournament — keep knocking down 3’s and forcing turnovers on the defensive end.

Tune into TBS tonight at 9 PM to catch all the action from San Antonio!
