Art Terry spent almost all of his adult life as a US Marine. He retired last year after 24 years of service to be with his family and focus on life outside of the military. He has been an amateur boxer, competitive jiu jitsu player, CH-46 helicopter pilot, progressive wine consumer, and dabbling writer, regularly supporting his alumni column in Shipmate Magazine. He is heavily influenced by (reads a lot of and wants to write like) Charles Bukowski, Hunter Thompson, Jim Harrison, Robert Frost, Albert Camus, and other counterculture notables.
